Sustainable Fisheries Initiative Volunteer Tuesday, July 01, 2008 - Thursday, December 31, 2009The New England Aquarium’s conservation department aims to integrate scientific information and policy initiatives to effect lasting change in the ocean environment. Major emphases within the department at this time include sustainable fisheries, world of water films, and innovative conservation initiatives around the world. Housed within the conservation department, this volunteer will work primarily with the Sustainable Fisheries Initiative (SFI) team. The SFI team is currently working on a variety of projects, including performing seafood assessments for a major national seafood retailer, restaurant chain, and supplier.
