Callanwolde Fine Arts Center is an historic landmark in the Druid Hills neighborhood of Atlanta and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The beautifully restored 1920's estate is one of the liveliest centers for art education and cultural events in the Southeast. Callanwolde hosts many cultural events: "Jazz on the Lawn" concert series, art gallery exhibits featuring emerging local artists, and musical, dance and literary performances. As one of the most photographed homes in Atlanta, Callanwolde is a favorite setting for weddings and other special events. The center offers more than 160 classes per quarter led by Callanwolde’s distinguished faculty, most of whom hold advanced degrees in the fine arts. The year-round classes for all ages include the visual, literary, and performing arts. Callanwolde endeavors to protect its rich historical value and continue to encourage community spirit and individuality through creative expression.(more)
